George Verwer (1938–2023) was a Christian evangelist and the founder of Operation Mobilization (OM), one of the largest missionary organizations in the world. In the prime of his youth, he gave up wealth and promising future prospects to serve God. He became well-known for his unique approach to evangelism, showing how the Gospel could effectively work amidst diverse religious traditions. With a heart full of passion for missions and a deep sense of commitment, he dedicated himself to reaching people in remote and unreached regions with the message of the Gospel. He was a passionate preacher who fervently urged all believers in Jesus to embrace true discipleship.

Adoniram Judson (1788–1850) was an American Baptist missionary who played a crucial role in bringing Christianity to Burma (now Myanmar). He was among the first Protestant missionaries sent from North America to Asia. Initially part of the Brethren Mission, a student group, he read the Scriptures while on his way to India and became convinced that a believer should be baptized as a testimony of faith. Upon arriving in India, he and his wife were baptized before traveling to Burma, where they established the first Baptist mission. His co-missionary, Luther Rice, was also convinced by him and was baptized.

George Augustus Selwyn (1809–1878) was the first Anglican Bishop of New Zealand and later the Bishop of Lichfield. He played a significant role in missionary work and church establishment in New Zealand and the Pacific. He relocated to Auckland in 1844 and founded St John’s College. As Bishop of New Zealand, he played a key role in church organization, supporting high-church practices while also appointing CMS missionaries. He expanded his influence into the Pacific, leading to the formation of the Melanesian Mission.

Elizabeth Everts Greene (1920–1997) famously known as Betty Greene was an American pilot and missionary who co-founded the Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF). She was the first MAF pilot and dedicated her life to using aviation to support Christian missions, transporting missionaries, medical supplies, and aid to remote locations. Johanna Veenstra (1894–1933) was a Dutch-American missionary who served in Nigeria. She was the first missionary sent by the Christian Reformed Church in North America to West Africa. Alongside her colleague Miss Haigh, she established a school and a medical dispensary, providing both education and healthcare to the local people. Through her ministry, many from the Kuteb tribe embraced Christianity. Her pioneering efforts contributed to the formation of the Christian Reformed Church of Nigeria (CRCN) and the Reformed Church of Christ in Nigeria (RCCN), both headquartered in Takum, Taraba State.
