Karen Watson (1965–2004) was a Southern Baptist missionary to Iraq, serving on humanitarian grounds. She left behind all riches to serve the Lord, choosing sacrifice over comfort. When no one was willing to serve during wartime in Iraq she willingly volunteered to go as a missionary. While aiding the sick, she was ambushed and killed alongside three fellow missionaries.

Alfred Saker (1814-1880) was a British missionary who played a key role in spreading Christianity in Cameroon, Africa. He was associated with the Baptist Missionary Society and is best known for his efforts in evangelism, translation, and establishing Christian communities in West Africa. He preferred to be known simply as a “Missionary to Africa”. In 1858, he led a mission from the Spanish island of Fernando Po to Southern Cameroons, where he purchased land from Bimbia chiefs and founded Victoria, later renamed Limbe in 1982.

William Ward (1769–1823) was an English Baptist missionary and a key member of the Serampore Trio, alongside William Carey and Joshua Marshman. His expertise as a printer and publisher helped spread the gospel by making Bibles, tracts, and educational materials available in multiple Indian languages. He played a crucial role in printing and publishing Christian literature in India, particularly at the Serampore Mission in Bengal, where he managed the Serampore printing press, the first major Protestant printing house in India. Beyond printing, he actively engaged in preaching, teaching, and spreading Christianity.
